Safari University Košice

The Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice goes back to Emperor Leopold I (17th century) and is one of the top universities in Slovakia with around 5,700 students. The medical faculty consists of 57 scientific institutes and is located at the state-of-the-art university hospital (over 1,600 beds). This makes it one of the largest and most renowned faculties in the country, which also makes it very interesting for foreign students. Over 400 Germans, Italians, Poles and Scandinavians are currently studying medicine in Košice.

Košice

The second largest city in Slovakia Košice is idyllically situated between vast forests and rivers in eastern Slovakia. With 260,000 inhabitants, it is an important business location. Already in 1230 AD. founded, Košice extends around the historic old town and the impressive, Gothic Elisabeth Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Slovakia. Košice is an internationally known center for education and the seat of the prestigious University of Veterinary Medicine.
